Van Orden Wins 9th U.S. Title in the 50K

Among the elite field was trail ace Tim Van Orden, 44, of Bennington, Vermont. Van Orden Takes Masters Crown at U.S. Half Marathon Trail Championships

Nearly eight hundred runners took on the challenge of the Dirty Half Marathon in Bend on Sunday. For the third year in a row, this race has served as the U.S. Half Marathon Trail Championships. VanOrden wins 7th US Masters Title in the Marathon

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow could stop the competitors at the 2011 U.S. Trail Marathon Championships on Saturday. A record number of participants braved the weather and the terrain, including Bennington resident Tim Van Orden. Capping a stellar year on the trails, Van Orden, 43, raced to his seventh U.S. Masters Trail Running victory and a sixth place overall finish. Continue reading
