Fit On Raw Interview at the Woodstock Fruit Festival

Swayze Foster & Tim Van Orden

In this episode of the Running Raw Project: Tim sits down for an interview with Swayze Foster of http://fitonraw.com while at the Woodstock Fruit Festival (http://woodstockfruitfestival.com)

Fit on Raw is a site dedicated to fitness and a raw vegan lifestyle. Swayze offers coaching and advice to those on or transitioning to a raw vegan diet. Even more impressive than her coaching skills is the fact that Swayze is teaching people about raw and vegan diets in the deep south – Memphis, Tennessee! As Frank Sinatra once said “If she can make it there, she can make it anywhere.” Well ok, he didn’t say it exactly like that, but you get the picture.

    Hello! 🙂
As I’m all new to all that relates to a “raw diet” (well, I have listened to quite a lot of your videos in the past 2-3 days, so I already feel that I’m starting to understand a little bit more what it’s all about…) I would like to know a little bit more about the mistakes to avoid when one decides to begin a raw diet… It is mentioned in this video, that “everybody” makes mistakes at the begining; eating to much of that, or not enough of this… So what is there to avoid, if I want to make a good start?

I have to say that your videos convinced my to try this way of living for, at least, a week… We’ll see where that leads me! Haha! Just finished the second day, and are those smoothies delicious, or what?!!! I add some mint leaves, for a personal twist! 🙂 (I’m also a runner, but quite a moderate one… I train for 10km runs, but after 2 years of 10km, I think that next summer will be the summer of my first half-marathon!! Sooooo excited!!)

(Oh! And sorry for my grammar… English is not my first language.)

Your dedication is VERY inspirational! And I immediately felt in love with your aproche, wich combines, humor, science and autenticity.
I wish you all the best!!
    Elena
