2011 USA Trail Series Champion
It’s been a long and expensive year of racing. My goal this year was to compete in all five of the U.S. Trail Running Series races, and with any luck, come in the top 5 overall. The series consists of the four U.S. Trail Championships at 10k, 15k, Half Marathon and Marathon, as well as the U.S. Mountain Running Championships. Continue reading

Weekly Training: 5/16/11 – 5/22/11
Keeping up a heavy load of training while traveling is always a challenge, especially when you are reliant on the schedule and transportation of others. The key is to break it up into smaller chunks and get it done as early as possible. Of course it’s a lot easier to do this when you have the stunning scenery of NW Washington and British Columbia as your backdrop. Wow! Continue reading

VanOrden Takes Gold at U.S. 15k Trail Running Championship
SPOKANE, WA (August 2, 2010) – Tim VanOrden, of Bennington, VT ran away from the Master’s field to win his first national title by nearly two minutes over runner up Bret Kimple out of Portland, OR. The event being contested was the U.S. 15k Trail Running Championships in Spokane’s beautiful Riverside State Park. Continue reading
