A Conversation With Dara Dubinet
While in Santa Monica, California, I had a rare opportunity to hang out and have a chat with Dara Dubinet at Euphoria Loves Rawvolution. Dara is one of the most popular YouTube presenters in the raw food arena. Continue reading

Tim Van Orden eats 80/10/10
Some friends and I went to Matthew Kenney’s new restaurant M.A.K.E. in Santa Monica, CA on opening night and had a little fun. It seems that Matthew has taken the 80/10/10 diet into consideration when he prepared the menu… but with a delicious twist 🙂 Continue reading

Thanks giving Chicago style
There are many things that I am thankful for. But at this moment one opportunity stands out in my mind. It was November of 2006. I was in Chicago to coach the fledgling Run Raw Team in their first raw Chicago Marathon. As far as we knew at the time, no team of raw, vegan athletes had ever been assembled to compete in an event. Continue reading

Tim VanOrden’s Running Raw Update – May 11th, 2011
Another year has ticked by and I’m beginning my 43rd lap around the Sun. With a solid year of training and racing behind me, I’m entering into the 2011 USA Trail Running Championship Series in the best shape of my life. In the past few weeks, I’ve set two new lifetime PR’s and the season is just beginning. On May 14th, I’ll be attempting to defend my championship title at the U.S. 15k Trail Championships in Spokane, WA. Continue reading

Speaking Tour of Florida
After a long, cold and exceptionally snowy Winter I think it’s time I got a little sunshine. So I’m heading to Florida in a few days for a one week speaking tour. I hope to meet many of you Floridians in person. Continue reading

Hungry for greens in Hungary.
This past week I returned from my first ever trip to Europe. Well, if I’m to be perfectly honest I should say that most of me returned. There is a still a part of me that fell in love with the culture, lifestyle and architecture of the place and remained behind. The bulk of my trip was spent in Budapest (pronounced Booduhpesht), the bustling capital city of Hungary. Which from all accounts, is one of the prettiest and liveliest cities in Europe. Tim VanOrden’s Running Raw Times – March 22nd, 2008
A good soldier will march all day long for the right leader or cause. If you were to ask them if they minded the monotony and physical labor of such a task, I’m sure they would almost all respond with “yes, I mind”. But a good soldier does what they are supposed to do, even when it bothers, exhausts or frightens them. Continue reading

The Empire State Building Run Amok
New York was nicknamed the Empire State, to recognize its vast wealth and variety of resources. Among the treasures of this great state is the Empire State Building, the crown Jewel of New York City. Although there are three buildings taller than the ESB in Chicago, you’d never convince a New Yorker that that Empire State Building was not the greatest building in America. Continue reading

Running Raw Across America
There is no better way to see the country than to drive across it, stop every few hundred miles and go for a run… or two. Meandering about on foot in small towns looking for fresh organic produce and seeing the local sites is one of my favorite activities. Continue reading

Tim VanOrden’s Running Raw Times – November 9th 2009
November 3rd marked the 4th Anniversary of the Running Raw Project and my 5th anniversary of stepping on to the raw path. What seemed like a very narrow path 5 years ago has become quite the popular thoroughfare. It really amazes me how quickly the tides of change can sweep upon our shores… Continue reading →
