USA 50k Trail Running Championships – Video

The USA 50k Trail Running Championships were held on September 22nd, 2012 at Mt. Bachelor in the Cascade Mountains of central Oregon. USA Track & Field holds USA Trail Championships at a wide variety of distances. Over the past 3 years, I have had great success in these championship races from 10k to the marathon, winning nine US Masters titles… But I’ve never done a 50k… and I was really nervous. Tim VanOrden’s Running Raw Update – May 11th, 2011

Another year has ticked by and I’m beginning my 43rd lap around the Sun. With a solid year of training and racing behind me, I’m entering into the 2011 USA Trail Running Championship Series in the best shape of my life. In the past few weeks, I’ve set two new lifetime PR’s and the season is just beginning. Winter Running Tips to Keep You Safe, Warm and Happy

Now that my injuries are healing up I’m back out there running in the cold. It’s hard enough to get yourself started again after a layoff, but doing so when the days are short, cold and dark can be a real challenge. I find that the hardest part of running (or any type of training) in the Winter is getting yourself out the door.
